Get Cancellation and Refund Help

Air China takes a flexible approach, allowing passengers to cancel flights if the fare rule allows it. The Air China Manage Booking Helpdesk can assist you in cancelling your flight or obtaining a refund. The total amount of the refund, but, is dependent on a few circumstances:

Air China offers two types of tickets: refundable and non-refundable. Refunds are available for refundable tickets and vice versa. Depending on the fare option, passengers may receive half or one-fourth of the original flight price in some cases.

Cabin Baggage

Passengers using Air China's services receive a cabin baggage allowance as part of their ticket price. The most size of luggage allowed in the cabin is 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm (L x W x H), with a weight of 5 kg.

Checked Baggage

Air China passengers are entitled to a free checked baggage allowance. Domestic flights allow passengers to bring up to 20 kg of luggage and international flights allow up to 23 kg.

Passengers can check in online via Air China's official website. To do so, go to the airline's check-in page by clicking here. The online check-in page is available one day before the scheduled departure time.

Airport Check-in

Airport check-in is available 180 minutes before the scheduled flight departure time at the Air China check-in counters. It's recommended that you check in at least one and a half hours before the airport's check-in and baggage drop counters close.

Kiosk Check-in

Air China passengers can use kiosk check-in services, which are available at the departure city airport depending on availability. Contact the airline for more information on this service. The check-in time is four hours before departure.

App Check-in

It is possible to check in using the airline's official mobile (Android/iOS) app. To do so, they must first install the Air China mobile application on their device. Check-in begins 24 hours before the flight's departure.
